About the Position:
This position is located at the Deputy Chief Of Staff For Personnel G1, Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), Southwest Regional Director's Office, Fort Knox CPAC, FORT KNOX, KY.
This position may be filled at the GS-05 or GS-07 grade level.
The full performance level of this position is the GS-11 grade level.

Provide position management and classification support to assigned organizations under various personnel systems.
Advise on the position classification process and the use of various classification references, and automated tools.
Communicate grade distinctions to management with supporting criteria and justification; provide recommendations to management on organizational design.
Advise on compensation management strategies and programs.
Advise management on recruitment strategies, sources, and special programs.
Provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, and the development and use of valid selection criteria.
Advise on future staffing strategies.
Advise management on a wide range of staffing issues such as workforce shaping/reduction-in-force, special placement programs, recruitment methods, and special pay incentives.
Process and/or instruct serviced customers on preparation and submission of personnel actions.
Develop vacancy announcements, and produces referral lists.
Ensure priority consideration programs are appropriately utilized.

Basic Qualification: To qualify, applicants must meet the basic requirement.
Specialized experience : To qualify for the GS-07 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-05). Specialized experience is defined as: work that includes applying fundamental civilian HR rules, principles, policies, methods, and practices.
General experience : To qualify for the GS-05 grade level, applicants must possess three years of general experience, one year equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-04). General experience is defined as: work that involves answering customer inquiries telephonically/electronically, compiling data and drafting reports, use of personal computers and software to perform a variety of basic automated operations and functions.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, and abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of civilian HR rules and regulations
Skill in automated HR systems
Ability to communicate effectively
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, at the GS-07 grade level you may substitute or combine education with experience. To substitute education you must possess one year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
