The Fort Knox Automotive Craft Shop is a forty-two bay facility with bays designated for specific automotive repairs and maintenance related activities. Customers have their choice of bays for various types of work. It includes a Welding area, Lift bays, General flat bays, Oil change bays and Motorcycle lifts. To utilize self help bays, there is Safety Video and Shop Rules brief that are mandatory in order to obtain a DA from 3031, about 30 minutes total (See Mandatory Training Notice).
The Automotive Craft Shop also has ASE certified technicians available to make repairs to the Fort Knox community's automobile needs. Our technicians can perform Alignments, Tune-ups, Full Brake Service, Full Diagnostics, Heating & Cooling, Inspections for Trips, Safety and or Needed Repairs, just to name a few. We are operated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Auto Crafts carries a parts inventory and can get most parts on the same day depending on availability. We also carry a full line of tires, Cooper, Multi-Mile, and Yokohama or speak with our Tire Expert and we can order most brands with 2 day service.

Assists automotive mechanics in performance of maintenance and repair on all combustion powered vehicles.
Helps with repairs that can be accomplished by removing, replacing, adjusting, or cleaning defective parts or components such as fouled spark plugs, worn brake shoes, water pumps, engine gaskets belts and hoses, etc.
Under the direct supervision of the automotive mechanic or higher grade worker, removes and replaces with standard parts, items such as spark plugs, fan belts, starters, carburetors, fuel pumps, water pumps, mufflers, tail pipes, etc.
Assists in making settings and adjustments such as setting distributor and voltage regulator points, gaping spark plugs, setting engine idle and time, and taking up on brakes. Observes environmental, safety, and security rules and regulations.
A basic knowledge of automotive repair such as could be gained at the high school or trade school level. Ability to use standard and metric automotive hand and powered tools. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. A driver's license is required. Work week is Wednesday through Sunday.
Conditions of employment:
1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
