Description:
SAIC is seeking a Senior WebSphere Administrator to support soldier workforce transition programs and counseling systems based at the United States Army Human Resources Command in Fort Knox, KY. The candidate will use their experience in a broad range of Systems engineering principles to lead the execution and delivery of quality engineering services to the customer.
The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, connectivity and monitoring of IBM WebSphere application servers and platforms. The senior administrator will work with network and software engineering teams to support a wide range of technical tasks. The administrator should have knowledge of deploying Java applications, setting up supporting platform communications (JNDI, JMS, SOAP/RESTful communications), database system connection pooling, monitoring and other platform support initiatives.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Completed Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years' experience working with IBM WebSphere server.
Ability to work with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ability to administer supporting JEE services
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communications
Currently holds, or has the ability to obtain, a DOD Secret Clearance
US citizen
Ability to obtain a Security
Certification before starting.
Technical Requirements:
Ability to install, configure and manage WAS instances in development, test and production environments
Experience with best practices promoting and managing code packages
Able to monitor servers and trouble shoot configuration/performance issues
Familiar with SOA service setup and administration
Experience with load balancing and proxy techniques
Knowledge of SSL and PKI setups
Understands Software Development Lifecycle

Strong written and verbal communications
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
