## SUMMARY
The General Clerk III serves as professional customer service specialist and achieves customer satisfaction by delivering military HR services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. The position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with supported unit administrative personnel, unit commanders, and other installation service providers
Conducts detailed briefings and counsels Soldiers and Family Members in groups or individually on detailed HR procedures
Performs as HR specialist within military HR work centers
Responsible for updating Personnel Records, Information Systems and Automation within eMILPO, In & Out Processing, DEERS/Identification Card Management, Soldier Readiness Processing, Soldier Actions, Promotion Processing, Reassignment Processing, Student Personnel Actions, Strength Management, Administrative Services (including Official Mail and Distribution), Transition Processing, Retirement Services. Demonstrates intermediate-level knowledge of related HQDA governing directives, HR personnel policies, and installation-level operating procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Exercises creativity and latitude in executing delivery of HR services
Conducts Soldier interviews, in-processes and out-processes Soldiers using a standard checklist
Accesses standard automated systems such as eMILPO, TOPMIS II, iPERMS, EDAS, Installation Support Module(ISM), DARTS and DAMPS, TRANSPROC III, updates emergency casualty documents and enlisted/officer data elements
Scans and transmits document images for electronic filing
Performs DEERS administration and issues Comman Access Cards (CAC) from the RAPIDS system
Screens reassignment rosters and processes military personnel for reassignment
Prepares military orders, processes routine personnel actions and applications
Prepares separation documentation, handles official mail, and maintains local administrative files
Collects work load data to measure work center performance against quality control standards.
Reports all deficiencies to the MPD Branch Chief and initiates corrective actions in a timely manner
Upholds the highest standards of integrity, honesty, openness and professionalism
Committed to delivering quality and value to military Service Members, Family Members, and Retirees in the installation area of responsibility
Validates users and user access levels for each segment of eMILPO
Review PAI's submitted by units
Resolve discrepancies on Reports
May serve as alternate Site Security Manager
Conducts desk-side and mass briefings

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Requires functional training and 4-6 years of experience in Military HR services, or Associates degree and 3-5 years of experience
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Proficiency required across a full spectrum of HR task areas, such as conducting briefings on a variety of HR topics, accessing standard, automated HR systems, reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and providing timely and courteous customer service
