Job Description:
Compiles and records production data for the maintenance shop to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
Must be proficient in using Logistics Information System supporting maintenance.
May perform any combination of the following duties:
compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
Additional tasks include:
writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
Sorts and distributes work tickets or material.
All work is accomplished IAW with the applicable Army regulations, DA PAMs, Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, and Repair Manuals.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of Production Control experience in a maintenance environment, and the ability to prepare necessary documentation (automated and manual) according to assigned LIS (Logistics information System and functional area.
Additionally, possess working knowledge of Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) transaction codes and perform the following functions at a minimum:
check equipment availability, maintain equipment files, dispatch equipment, add/delete operators, enter equipment faults, schedule equipment maintenance, print dispatch control log, equipment service records, create maintenance work order/task and assign personnel.
Practical knowledge of a wide range of established maintenance policies and processes, and the ability to apply a variety of common methods and techniques to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency to ensure production goals are met.
Ability to identify needed remedies or improvements, and recommend solutions.
Skilled in effective oral and written communication to explain regulations, update policy and instructions, conduct investigations, provide program information to management and customers, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the organization's operation.
The employee chooses, interprets and adapts available guidelines (that often contain conflicting or ambiguous instructions) to specific assignments, and recommends changes to those policies.
Candidate must be able to perform all the tasks not exclusive of those described in the job description section.

citizen and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently and have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both orally and in writing.
Must be proficient in the use of computers and MS Office Software.
Must be able to obtain a CAC and work the assigned shift hours.
Must possess a valid state driver's license; may be required to be licensed to operate Government provided vehicles.
